This study aims to examine the influence of local government officials' knowledge on budgets, public participation, and transparency of public policy towards the preparation participation in banyumas district. Population and sample in this research are SKPD officer in office and office occupying position as head of field / section head without involving SKPD staff at sub-district and kelurahan level. Data collection technique is purposive sampling by spreading the questionnaire as much as 81, while the questionnaire that can be processed as many as 68 questionnaires. The research method used in this research includes multiple linear test, coefficient of determination test, F test and t test. The results of this study indicate the variable knowledge of local government employees about the budget affect the participation of budget preparation. While the variables of public participation and the transparency of public policy have no effect on the participation of budget preparation.
