The research aimed to test the effect of managerial ownership structure,
financial leverage, firm value, and dividend payout ratio on income smoothing.
This was a quantitative research. The independet variables were effect of
managerial ownership structure, financial leverage, firm value, dividend payout
ratio. Meanwhile, the dependent variables was income smoothing. The object of
the research were the companies of manufactur industry listed in Indonesia Stock
Exchange during 2012-2016 periods. Samples of this study were 13 companies.
The sampling technique used purposive sampling method. The analysis method
was statistic descriptive, analysis logistic regression which was rating the
regression model appropriatness, rating the entirety model, negelkerke r square
value, overall classification table, parameter estimation and the interpretation.
Based on the result of the research, it shown that the managerial ownership
structure did not positively affect on income smoothing, the financial leverage did
not positively affect on income smoothing, the firm value did not positively affect
on income smoothing, the dividend payout ratio did not positively affect on
income smoothing.
