This study aims to determine the correlation between work motivation and work
stress with employee’ performance in operational division of sales clerk at Moro
Grosir Purwokerto. The subjects in this study were 68 members of the operational
division of sales clerk at Moro Grosir Purwokerto. Data collection tools utilized
were sense of work motivation scale with changing validity 0339 to 0736 and
reliability score 0871 and work stress scale with changing validity from 0336 to
0667 and reliability score 0893 and with employee’ performance scale with
changing validity from 0321 to 0941 and reliability score 0963. The analysis
technique applied was multiple correlation assisted by SPSS 2i program. The
findings discovered that score of correlation coefficient of r obtained was 0510 and
the significant F was 0,000, it proved that there was a significant correlation
between work motivation and work stress with employee’ performance in operational
division of sales clerk at Moro Grosir Purwokerto.
The result reveal that hypothesis 1 is accepted; there is a significant correlation
between work motivation and employee’ performance in operational division of sales
clerk at Moro Grosir Purwokerto. Hypothesis 2 is accepted; there is asignificant
relationship between work stress and employee’ performance in operational division
of sales clerk at Moro Grosir Purwokerto. Hypothesis 3 is also accepted; there is a
significant relationship between work motivation and work stress with employee’
performance in operational division of sales clerk at Moro Grosir Purwokerto.
