The research aims to describe the hyper realities and simulacra process in the Antology Of Selected Short Stories publised in a news named Kompas in 2013. Simply, the hyper realities and simulacra process in the short stories show life dramatically. Therefore, dramatic impression ultamately makes the stories seem beyond the real life or event. In this research, descriptive qualitative method and hypertext-semiotic aproach are employed. Results: (1) The hyper realities in the short story: (a) hyper reality of human rights, (b) hyper reality of ideologi, (c) hyper reality of identity , (d) hyper realy of politict and (e) hyper reality of myth. (2) The simulacra process in the Short story, namely: (a) formation of myth, (b) abnormal treatment, (c) presumption or paranoid and (d) images or surrealism.
