Abstract

This research discusses about Mark Twain worldview of racism in The
Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. The aim of this research is to know Mark Twain
worldview of racism that is reflected in his work The Adventures of Huckleberry
Finn.
The researcher uses genetic structuralism theory to analyze the novel. Genetic
structuralism is used to describe intrinsic elements in the novel and biography of the
author as well that influences the works and the social condition during the civil war
when the work was created.
From the analysis, it is found that Mark Twain has sympathy feeling to the
black people that are treated as slave by white society. Mark Twain tries to reject the
assumption that black people are bad people and white people are always better than
black. Mark Twain wants to make equality between black and white people and
remove the slavery.
