This study entitled "The ability to listen critically class VII SMP N 1
Kertanegara pelajajan Purbalingga year 2009/2010”. This study aims to determine
students' critical listening ability class VII SMP N 1 Kertanegara Purbalingga
2009/2010 school year.
The population in this study is a class VII student who bejumlah 181
samples of this study were the students of class VII SMP N 1 Kertanegara
Purbalingga Academic Year 2009/2010 captured 20% of this population so that
the sample obtained by 36 students. The research method used was descriptive
qualitative research methods, and data collection using the test technique.
The result of calculation has been done shows that the critical listening
ability class VII by using a written test students who have excellent skills of 13
students (36.11%), students who have good skills of 14 students (38.89%),
students have a good ability 8 students (22.22%), students who have less ability to
either a student (2.78%), students who do not have the ability to fail, or one 0
(0%). From the above data it can be concluded that the critical listening ability,
class VII student of SMP N 1 Kertanegara Purbalingga district in the 2009/2010
school year using a written test is included in both categories.
