The research was aimed to observe factors affecting to the selection of lump sugar and crystal sugar in Kemawi village, Somagede, Banyumas. The method applied in the research was survey. It covered the member of farming group sekar mancung consisted 32 tappers. Total sampling was applied in this research. For collecting the primer data, interview was done to the tappers in kemawi, somagede, banyumas, while secondary data was done through the data in village hall of tappers and monographic in Kemawi, Soamgede, Banyumas. For analyzing data., it was done trough qualitative descriptive. The research found that the factors affecting to the production of lump sugar in Kemawi was the materials, skills, list price and high demand. Then, the factors hampering to the production of lump sugar in Kemawi was the capital, foreign loan, completion of production tools, owner capital, cleanness of production and skill in producing lump sugar. The factors hampering in producing crystal sugar in Kemawi was foreign loan, cleaness of production tools, skills and completeness of production tools.
