The objective of this study was to find out the factors of success in the
programs conducted by the National Program of Social Empowerment (PNPM)
Mandiri in the village of Margaayu, Margasari district, Tegal regency. The
method applied was a survey method. The population was the community taking a
role as the planner (BKM), 12 persons, the executors (KSM) 128 persons, the
users and the evaluators, 60 persons. Thus the whole persons involved in the
program were 200 respondents. The sampling technique employed was
proportional random sampling. The sample taken was one-fourth of the whole
population, 50 respondents. The data analysis was done qualitaive descriptive,
using frequence table.
Based on the analysis, the factors influencing the success of the program
covers internal and external factors. The internal included the knowledge of the
community (82%), the community participation (80%). The external factors were
the leadership (92%), socialization (96%), and the monitoring (94%). The level of
the program success was high as it was shown by all indicators.
