The research aimed to explore the business development of the Dawet Ayu from 1990-2013, as well as the business of Dawet Ayu toward the economic social condition of the sellers, In this research , there were four phases of historical method used namely: 1) Heoristic (Observation, Interview, and Documentation), 2) Interpretation, 3) Historiography. Banjarnegara subdistrict is an administration area in Banjarnegara Regency bicause it is the central of the central gavernment. The east of Banjarnegara is Sigaluh subdistrict, the west is Bawang subdistrict, and the north is Madukara and Banjarnegara subdistrict. The result of this research was Dawet Ayu was the genuine beverage from Banjarnegara that recently become famous and interesting drink from Indonesia and even over the world and it became the icon of Banjarnegara. The Dawet Ayu seller was the contributor of the economic chains in Banjarnegara even it was only small business, it could be potential economic for the society.
