Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto Library a college library that serves as a
resource for faculty, students, and academics. During this visit to students at the
Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto on library just for duty or suggestion of lecturers,
so not much of a student suspected of consciousness it self using the library to broaden
knowledge. Therefore, research on the use Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto
Library is already fully utilized by students and what factors cause the library has not been
used optimally. The method used is a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods.
The research sample are the active students of D3 level until S1 on Muhammadiyah
University of Purwokerto. The results of the quantitative research showed less students use
the library in terms of infrastructure, library collections, system service, frequency of use,
and access to searching a book, while the results of qualitative research showed less
students use the library because of unsatisfactory with the service system, less complete
collection, and students want search a book can be accessed online.
