This research was aimed at knowing the impact of Chain Sentences on students’ writing skill. This research was an experimental research. Two classes were chosen as the sample, they were VII D Intensive as the control class and VII E as the experimental class. The technique of collecting the data was by using test ( pre-test and post-test ). The type of the test was subjective test where the students have to compose the sentences. The data calculation showed that there was a positive impact of teaching writing by using Chain Sentences. It can be seen from the computation result of t-test, where the t-test was 2,9108 and the t-table value for df 46 at level 5% was 2,013. According to that result, it showed that t-test was higher than t-table. It means that Chain Sentences gave positive impact in teaching writing skill.
