This research entitled analysis of equivalent compound sentence rubric
Supersoccer on SatelitPost newspaper. It aimed to describe (A) the pattern of
syntactical fungsion of equivalent compound sentence and (B) correlation of inter
clause sentence of equivalent compound sentence.
This deskriptive qualitative research used data from equivalent compound
sentence from rubric supersoccer of SatelitPost newspaper in March 2015 the data
collected by observation and noting technique. This observation technique used by
reading the data source that is rubric supersoccer of satelitpost newspaper. The data
analyzed by apportion method by selecting the equivalent compound sentence and
prove the paterrn of syntaactic function in that equivalent compound sentence is
available. The data presentation are formal and informal.
The data analysis found that: paterrn of syntactical function and correlation
inter-clause of equivalent compound sentence of satelitepost newspaper. The result of

expansion. 3. Selecting correlation. The summation correlation are 175 equivalent
compound sentenceit is devide into 49 sentence cause-effect, 19 sentence time
sequence, 4 equivalent conflict, 103 sentence expansion. Contrasing are 63 equivalent
compound sentence, it is devide 1. Sentencesstrengtening, 19 sentences implication,
49 sentences expantion. The correlation show the selection are 7 sentences.
