The study entitled "The ability Finding Main Ideas in Paragraphs
Exposition High School Students Class X Ma'arif NU Lessons I Kemranjen Year
2011-2012", has the objective to describe the ability of high school class X
Ma'arif NU I Kemranjen Year 2011-2012 Lessons in finding main idea in
paragraph exposition.
The subject of this study were high school students in grade XA Ma'arif
NU lesson I Kemranjen Year 2011-2012, totaling 38 students. Data collection
techniques used to obtain data about students' skills in finding main ideas in
paragraphs exposition is to test the technique. From the test results are then
analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. Technical analysis
attempts to describe and interpret the data based on statistical data or data in the
from of number.
These results indicate that the ability to find the main idea in paragraph
exposition of class X school Ma'arif NU lesson I Kemranjen Year 2011-2012,
which is categorized very well with the students as much as 3 percent (7.89%),
both categories a total of 18 students the percentage (47.37%), quite as much as
14 categories with the percentage of students (36.84%), category 3 as many
students with less percentage (7.89%), and the failure category does not
exist. Average student test results on the ability of finding the main idea in a
paragraph of exposition is 72.70.
