This research entitled the Biography of Rokib as Headman of
Karangtengah Village Kertanegara Sub-District Purbalingga Regency. This
research aimed to know the general condition of Karangtengah village, the
profile of Rokib as the headman and his roles in the development of the
village from 2006-2013. This research employed Historical method
consisting of 4 stages namely (1) heuristic, (2) verification, (3)
interpretation, (4) historiography. The data were collected through interview
and documents. The informants of this research were 1) Rokib and his
family, 2) the headman of the village, 3) the staffs of the administration
office, and 4) the people of the village. The documents were in a from of
archives and private documents of the village administration office. The
findings of the research state that Rokib was born from a framer family
living with low income. His family success is not because of the wealth
owend by the family, but the simplicity, gratitude, humbleness, and fidelity.
Therefore, in the election on the headman postion, he was elected by the
support of people and his family. In his leadership, Rokib always listens and
accepts the suggestion and criticism from his staffs and people. During his
leadership, Rokib contributed for physical and non-physical development.
