This research aimed at examining the land-use change of agricultural land into non-agricultural land as occured in Ledug village in Kembaran Subdistrict of Banyumas Regency in 2002 and 2012.
The method used in this research was field survey. The data werecollected throughin-depth interview and analyzed by applying average mathematical reduction. The number of sample was 18 persons who experienced land alteration. The sampling technique used in this research was total sampling which means the researcher took the entire population as sample.
The findings of the research indicated that the land-use change of agricultural land were various: the agricultural land change into residential land with the average reduction of 4,360.9 m2 per year or about 8%, the agricultural land altered into commercial land with the average reduction of 1,247.5 m2 per year or about 5.9%, and the agricultural land shifted into social service land with the average reduction of 539.6 m2 per year or about 6.7%. Most of the change of land-use occured in northern part of Ledug village. This was probably caused bythe exixtence of Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto in that area.
