This study aimed to provide empirical evidence of the effect of good
corporate governance and investment opportunity set (IOS) on the value of the
company. The population of this study was real estate and property service
companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. Sample of this study was 62 samples
from 49 companies during 4 periods within 2012-2015 obtained using purposive
sampling.
Multiple regression analysis method was used to analyse the data of this
study. Results of this study indicated that managerial ownership, institutional
ownership, and investment opportunity sets had a positive effect on the value of the
company. While the independent commissioner affected negatively on the value of
the company.
