participants of this research were the eight grade students in SMP Negeri 1
Kalibagor. The two classes were chosen as the experimental (VIII D) which
consisting of thirty two students, and control class (VIIIE) which consisting of
thirty two students. The technique of data collection used test namely pre-test and
post-test. The result of assesment showed that the mean score of pre-test in
experimental class was 54.20 and the mean score of post-test was 79.53.
Meanwhile, the mean score of control class was 51.51 and the mean of post-test
was 71.39. There was an increased from pre-test to post-test as many as 25.33 in
the experimental class. The progression in the control class was 19.88 from pretest
to post-test. The data was calculated by statictical formula. The t-test result
was 4.5417 while the t-table with the significant level 0.05 in d.f 62 was 1.6698
based on the data analysis, t-test was higher than t-table or 4.5417 1.6698, it
could be concluded that hypothesis sayingthat the use of power write game was
