Parenting is the best way of caring and educating by parents in order to
grow very inteligent children. From parenting point of view, parents are supposed
to give affection as early as possible since it will influence their intelligence and
personality.
This research aimed to know whether there was a correlation between
parenting and emotional development of children in group B of TK Aisyiyah 1
Purwokerto. The hypothesis of this research was there was a correlation between
parenting and emotional development of children in group B of TK Aisyiyah 1
Purwokerto.
The population of this research was 40 children of grou B. This wasa
correlational research using quantitative approach. The subjects of this research
were 40 children of group B1 and B2 in TK Aisyiyah 1Purwokerto. The
instrument of this research was questionnaire with 5 alternatives. Pearson product
moment computation was used to test the validity and Alpha Croanbach for
realibility test. The data were analized using Pearson product moment correlation.
The findings show that the correlation score (r

of 0.580 is higher

of0.312 so that the hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. In conclusion, there isa
positive correlation between parenting and emotional development of children in
group B of TK Aisyiyah 1 Purwokerto.
