This research was a qualitative research. The approach was Stylistic. It was
used to analyze language style of the novel. The pbject was language style of the
novel. The date were in form of words, sentences or some terms while the source was
the novel. The data was collected by reading and writing technique was presented by
using analysis descriptive method, and was analysing, presenting and making
conclusion were the research‟s steps.
The results showed Pramoedya Ananta Toer used a lot of language styles such
as climax, anticlimax, parallelism, antithesis, anaphora, epanalepsis, anadiplosis,
epistrophe, epizeuxis, hyperbole, asyndeton, polysyndeton, pleonasm, tautology,
syllepsis, ellipsis, anastrof, a euphemism, paradox, litotes, koreksio, simile, irony,
cynicism, sarcasm, personification, a metaphor, and metonymy. Language style was
the use of any language diversity to give a beautiful effect of the language. It would
make people more interested in language because authors used beauty in combining it.
In other words, the use of language style should be the role model for the researcher
and other people so that it could influence readers to be more interested in books. One
of the factors that made readers were interested in Pramoedya Ananta Toer‟s book
was because of his ability in using language style which can be seen from his novels
such as Perawan Remaja dalam Cengkeraman Militer.
