This research was conducted in Pucungkerep Village Kaliwiro Subdistrict
Wonosobo Regency from March to October 2014. It was aimed at knowing 1) the
technique of rainfed monoculture rice farming on sloping land, 2) the expenses
spent by the farmers of rainfed monoculture rice farming on sloping land, 3) the
income earned by farmers of rainfed monoculture rice farming on sloping land, 4)
expediency of Rainfed Monokulture Rice Farming on Sloping Land In
Pucungkerep Village Kaliwiro Subdistrict Wonosobo Regency.
This research used survey as the method. The data used were primary and
secondary data. The samples taken by using purpossive sampling technique. The
consideations on taking the samples were 1) the farmer of rainfed monoculture
rice farming on sloping land whose land was less than hectar, 2) the farmer of
rainfed monoculture rice farming on sloping land did not have any machines for
plowing. There were 43 respondents in this research.
The result showed that the cultivation technique of rainfed monoculture
rice farming on sloping land has less difference with flat land. What makes
difference is on the way they cultivated. They actually made many embankments
and cultivated them. The average total expense was Rp.5.774.557,56 and the
reception was Rp.10.168.150,00, so the income was Rp.4.393.592,44. This rice
farming was reasonably cultivated since the value of R/C was 1,76.
