This research has a title “Stylistica Aspect in Antology of Short story
entited “The bloody twilight and love” by Seno Gumira Ajidarma. This research
has an objective of deskribing stylistica aspect on stressing the usage of foreign
language in short story of “Telephone from Aceh”, “A twilight for my
girlfriend”, “Love on the Cadik ship”, and A man who always washes hand of” by
Seno Gumira Ajidarma. Stylistica approach is employed is this study. The
instruments which are used to obtain the data are texts of short stories entitled:
“Telephone from Aceh”, “A twilight for my girlfriend”, “Love on the Cadik
ship”, and “A man who always washes hand of” from Short story Antology
entitled” The bloody twilight and love” by Seno Gumira Ajidarma. The stages of
this study are: collecting linguisicts proof, data analysing and explaining
aesthetics function, in this aesthetics explanation is used substitution and delection
technic. The result show that (1) The unique use of vocabulary in the research
texts is influenced by the writer’s sociocultural background. The unique side of
the vocabularies use in the short stories “A twilight for my girlfriend” and
“Telephone from Aceh” are on the use its vocabularies which is able to construct
the imagination and characters in a story. (2) Specification to use figurative
language is meant as rhetoric medium which is having aesthetics power, and
contructing readers imagination. (3) Subtitution process, delection are going to be
significantly influenced to expressing opinions, ideas, thought, and as well as
imagination and aesthetics power that will be built by the writer. Based on the
reaserch finding, it can be concluded that (1) The writer’s sociocultural factor
influences the unique of vocabularies use in the stories which was analyzed in the
research. (2) Specification figurative language selection (idioms, similes,
connotation, metaphor, metonymy, personification, hyperbola) is able to refresh
and make alive in expressing messages impressively, lively and interesrtingly as
well. (3) Substitution proccess and deletion are not able to use to respresent
opinions, ideas, thoughts, and aesthetics in which are going to deliver to readers.
