This study aims to determine the application of learning model snowball throwing in
increasing the actitivty and learning outcomes of students in the junior class VII
Muhammadiyah of Bumiayu. The subjects of this study were all students VIIC classes
totaling 21 studendts consisting of 8 men and 13 women. The research was conducted
through two cycles I and clcle II. Each cycle taking four stages, namely planning,
implementation actions, monitoring actions, and reflection. Instruments used in the test data
collection and observation sheets for the activitiea of students and teacher. While the
descriptive analysis of qualitative data.
The results showed that an increase in aech cycle. After learning with the learning
model snowball throwing at I cycle the average value of 67,38 and the 66,67% achieved
complete study. Then in the second cycle the average value increased to 78.57 and the class
who achieved complete study increased 80,95%. So, learning model snowball throwing can
increase the activity and learning outcomes in the muhammadiyah SMP of Bumiayu showed
significant improvement.
