This research aimed at finding out 1) students’ perception of the role of the teacher on classroom interaction, 2) students’ perception of the teacher acts as a facilitator, 3) students’ perception of the teacher acts as a role model, 4) students’ perception of the teacher acts as a mentor and 5) students’ perception of the teacher acts as a resouces. A questionnaire was ditributed to the second semester students of English Education Department to know their perceptions toward their english teacher’s roles on classroom interaction. The result showed that the grand mean from number 1) was 3.0 which indicated to positive perception, for number 2) was 2,9868 which indicated to positive perception, for number 3) was 2,9668 it indicated to positive perception, for number 4) was 3,111 it indicated to positive perception and for number 5) the mean was 2,9333 it indicated to positive perception. Therefore, it could be concluded that students thought that their teacher had already implemented their role on classroom interaction and communicate well with students.
