Technological advancements have driven the education sector to adapt by
creating technology-based learning media. This study aims to develop an
Android-based Biology Learning Media Application for Grade X students at
SMAN 1 Sokaraja. The research is motivated by the low interest of students in
Biology as a subject and the need for more interactive and accessible learning
media. The application was developed using the Multimedia Development Life
Cycle (MDLC) method. It is designed to present materials in the form of text,
images, and interactive quizzes, enabling students to learn independently without
spatial and temporal constraints. The application aims to enhance students'
understanding and interest in Biology while encouraging teachers to be more
creative in utilizing technology as a teaching aid. The application underwent
alpha testing using black-box methods and beta testing through questionnaires.
The results indicate that the application is suitable for use in Grade X at SMAN 1
Sokaraja. This application is expected to assist teachers and students in delivering
and understanding learning materials more effectively and efficiently. This study
contributes to the development of technology-based learning media that can
improve the quality of education in the digital era.
