STIMIK Muhammadiyah Paguyangan Brebes (STIMIK MPB) is a higher
education institution that has implemented an information technology system. One
of the information technologies at STIMIK Muhammadiyah Paguyangan Brebes is
the Student Academic Information System (SIAKAD). SIAKAD has a weakness in
its user interface, which is less attractive to users. Therefore, a study was conducted
to analyze and evaluate the user interface of the SIAKAD STIMIK MPB website
using the Heuristic Evaluation (HE) and System Usability Scale (SUS) methods.
The current testing of the SIAKAD STIMIK MPB website using the Heuristic
Evaluation (HE) method, based on five expert evaluators, yielded an average
severity rating of 1.88, indicating a cosmetic problem. The current testing using the
System Usability Scale (SUS) method from 80 respondents resulted in an average
score of 33.44%. The obtained score was then substituted into the Net Promoter
Score (NPS). On the NPS scale, SIAKAD STIMIK MPB is categorized as a
Detractor, in the Not Acceptable category on the Acceptability Ranges scale, in the
Poor category on the Adjective Rating scale, and received an F rating on the Grade
Scale. The recommended testing using the Heuristic Evaluation method with five
evaluators achieved a score of 0 on the severity scale for each issue identified by
the evaluators in the current testing. The recommended testing using the System
Usability Scale method achieved an average score of 80.09%.
