Abstract

Concrete is a construction material that is currently very commonly used. The importance of the role in concrete construction leads to creating an appropriate quality of concrete. Concrete material consists of a mixture of cement, water, fine aggregate (sand) and coarse aggregate (crushed stone). In this study, bamboo fiber will be used as a concrete mixture material, this study aims to analyze and compare the effect of adding variations of bamboo blades with bamboo blade lengths of 10 cm and thickness of 2 mm with the addition of a percentage of variation of 4%, 4.25%, 4.5%, 4.75% and 5% of the volume of concrete cylinders with the planned quality. This study uses the experimental method or experiments carried out in the laboratory to determine the relationship that occurs from variables as a result of the experiment. The test piece used in this study is a cylindrical concrete test piece with a diameter of 150 mm x a height of 300 mm. The results of the study show that concrete with the addition of bamboo ser experiences an increase in concrete compressive strength. With compressive strength test results in variations of 0%, 4%, 4.25%, 4.5%, 4.75% and 5%. namely 32.75 MPa, 33.71 MPa, 34.49 MPa, 33.59 MPa, 33.16 MPa, and 31.12 MPa.
