Abstract
Agroforestry is widely practiced on critical lands. The agroforestry system
must be compatible with the local ecological and socio-economic conditions. The
members of the Sri Rejeki IV farmer group have practiced agroforestry for
generations. Farmers' perceptions of agroforestry are crucial to understanding the
benefits of forest management using the agroforestry model. The objectives of this
study are to: (1) Identify the profile of the Sri Rejeki IV farmer group in Ciwuni
Village, Kesugihan district; (2) Examine the characteristics of the members of the
Sri Rejeki IV farmer group in Ciwuni Village, Kesugihan Subdistrict; and (3)
Analyze the perception of Sri Rejeki IV farmer group members in Ciwuni Village,
Kesugihan district, Cilacap Regency towards agroforestry.
This research was conducted in Ciwuni Village from February to July 2024.
The sampling method used was a census involving 25 farmers who are members of
the farmer group. The research results show that the cultivated crops include
bananas, cassava, coffee, jenitri (Elaeocarpus), petai (Parkia speciosa), and
jengkol (Archidendron pauciflorum). The characteristics of the Sri Rejeki IV farmer
group are as follows: 21 respondents are aged 15-59 years, 20 respondents have
primary school education, 22 respondents have land ownership of 0.5 hectares, and
13 respondents have 3-4 dependents. The perception scores of the Sri Rejeki IV
farmer group members based on economic, social, and environmental aspects
indicate a very positive category. The scores for each aspect are 476 for the
economic aspect, 704 for the social aspect, and 452 for the environmental aspect.
