Abstract

This study aims to identify the profile of farmers using the Farmer's Card, the supporting and inhibiting factors of the Farmer's Card program in Karangklesem Village, and the effectiveness of the Farmer's Card program in the village. The descriptive case study used qualitative and quantitative approaches, utilizing Likert scales and interval scores. The study found that the socio-economic characteristics of the Farmer's Card users in Karangklesem Village are primarily male, totaling 56 individuals. Most respondents are elderly farmers over 51 years old, with a low level of education, mostly having only completed elementary school (29 individuals). The main commodities these farmers cultivate include rice and corn, with 35 respondents involved in these activities. Most respondents have 1-2 family dependents (35 individuals), have been farming for more than 21 years, and are primarily farmers with no side jobs. Most respondents have land sizes ranging from 0.25 to 0.5 hectares, with most owning the land personally. The majority have used the Farmer's Card for over 2 years. The supporting factors for the Farmer's Card program in Karangklesem Village, Kutasari District, Purbalingga Regency include both internal and external factors. Internal factors include the farmers' awareness of the importance of the Farmer's Card program. In contrast, external factors include clear communication from agricultural extension workers and the program's ability to increase production. The inhibiting factors also consist of internal and external elements. The internal factors are mainly due to the farmers' low education levels, while the external factors are largely related to the distant location of the Farmer Input Store (KPL) from the village. The effectiveness of the Farmer's Card program in Karangklesem Village, Kutasari District, Purbalingga Regency was measured using three indicators: program success, target achievement, and satisfaction with the program. The total score obtained was 3.961, which falls into the "very effective" category.
