The practical life of society has resulted in changes in consumption patterns. One of the
impacts of this modernization is the increasing use of plastic in everyday life, including in
schools. Improper processing of plastic waste produced in the long term will result in
environmental damage. In order to reduce the negative impact of the large amount of
inorganic waste, recycling activities can be carried out. This action is expected to increase
students' concern for the surrounding environment and improve the creative skills needed
in processing used goods into goods of economic value. This study aims to determine the
effect of inorganic waste recycling activities on creative skills and environmental care
characters at SD Negeri 1 Sanggreman and SD Negeri 2 Sidamulih, Cilacap Regency. The
recycling activities implemented are in the form of habits that are carried out daily or
weekly. This approach uses a quantitative approach with one control class and one
experimental class. The subjects in this study were 6th grade students of SD Negeri 1
Sanggreman and SD Negeri 2 Sidamulih. Data collection techniques used observation,
interviews, and documentation studies. The results of this study indicate that the activity of
inorganic waste recycling can improve environmental care and creative skills in students.
