Abstract

This study aims to provide empirical evidence on the impact of
profitability, Leverage, and dividend policy on stock returns in the Consumer
Goods industry sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This
research employs a quantitative approach with a population consisting of 77
companies listed in the sector. The data analysis methods used include descriptive
statistical analysis and multiple linear regression. The results show that
profitability has a positive effect on stock returns, indicating that higher
profitability leads to higher stock returns. Additionally, Leverage is found to have
a positive impact on stock returns, suggesting that increased Leverage can
enhance stock returns. However, dividend policy shows a negative effect on stock
returns, indicating that higher dividend payments can reduce stock returns.
