Abstract

Kale is a plant from the Brassicaceae family, often grown hydroponically due to the difficulty in obtaining seeds and their high price. This research used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with six levels of bokashi fertilizer applied to 90 plants. The analysis was performed using variance analysis (F-test) and followed by HSD (Honestly Significant Difference) test at the 5% significance level, utilizing the STAR 2.01 software. The results showed that cow manure bokashi dosage significantly affected plant height at 14 Days After Planting (DAP), dry shoot weight, fresh shoot weight, dry root weight, and fresh root weight. The best treatment for plant height at 14 DAP was a dosage of 50 tons/ha (D5) with a height of 12.13 cm. For the variable of leaf count, the 50 tons/ha dosage (D5) produced the highest number of leaves at 42 DAP, which was 17.47 leaves. In terms of dry shoot weight and fresh shoot weight, the 50 tons/ha dosage (D5) also provided the best results, with 27.05 grams and 124.37 grams, respectively. Meanwhile, for dry root weight and fresh root weight, the 50 tons/ha dosage (D5) yielded the highest dry root weight of 3.57 grams, while the 10 tons/ha dosage (D1) provided the highest fresh root weight of 9.61 grams. The results of this study indicate that the appropriate dosage of cow manure bokashi can enhance the growth and yield of kale plants.
