In the current era of digitalization, efficient and timely financial management is a
crucial factor for maintaining the competitiveness of retail companies. Managing
Accounts Payable (AP) is a vital element that reflects the financial health and
relationships with business partners. Previous research has identified various
issues in AP management, including inefficiencies due to uncoordinated debt
management, delays, and low operational efficiency resulting from the lack of a
real-time monitoring system, as well as difficulties in reconciliation and system
integration. This thesis aims to develop a real-time AP monitoring system that is
fully integrated with the existing systems at PT Tara Parama Semesta, in order to
enhance visibility into debt and payment statuses and enable more efficient data
exchange between departments. With the implementation of this system, it is
expected that management will be able to make quicker and more accurate
decisions, improve cash flow control, and strengthen relationships with suppliers.
Additionally, this system is anticipated to reduce the risk of errors, ensure timely
payments, and increase the overall operational efficiency of the company, thereby
strengthening position of PT Tara Parama Semesta in an increasingly competitive
market.
