In this modern era, many Muslims easily leave the congregational prayer
because they are too absorbed in the busyness of the world. In fact, the first act of
worship that will be judged on the Day of Judgment is prayer. Prayer is an
obligation of every Muslim, regardless of race, color, position, old, young or even
children. The obligation of Muslims to pray in the mosque should be established
on the basis of piety to exalt and mention the name of Allah SWT as an effort to
increase monotheism. However, in reality, the application of congregational
prayer in the mosque in this millennial era is lacking because some of them
consider the adhan, which should signal the implementation of prayer, to be an
ordinary marker.
This research uses qualitative research methods. The research subjects were
the principal, 2 mualim and 5 students of SMA IT Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah
Purwokerto. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and
documentation. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation
and conclusion drawing.
The results of this study show that first, the role of KOSUBE in shaping
student discipline can be proven by the increasing progress of student arrival
during the implementation of KOSUBE activities. Second, supporting factors and
inhibiting factors. For the supporting factors themselves can come from
encouragement from the environment around students, habituation factors, the
existence of examples from parents, the existence of students' understanding of
the privileges of morning prayers in congregation. Meanwhile, the inhibiting
factors in the implementation of this KOSUBE activity can be the distance
between the student's home and the mosque where the activity is carried out, the
lack of ability to manage time well, the obstacles in terms of transportation,
besides that the school system based on full day school and lack of support from
peers can also be an obstacle in this KOSUBE activity.
