The development of smartphone technology is incredibly rapid, especially in the
field of entertainment. One of the most popular forms of entertainment is
Android-based games. A game can be defined as an entertainment medium with
goals to be achieved using rules that indicate what players can and cannot do. The
genres of games that can be played on smartphones are very diverse, including:
Action, Adventure, Simulation, Role Playing Games (RPG), Strategy, Racing,
Sports, Puzzle, and Word Games. In this study, a puzzle genre game was
developed using the Luther method, referring to the Luther-Sutopo multimedia
development methodology. The aim of this study is to facilitate learning for users
in understanding grade 5 natural science material for elementary school (SD/MI).
The result of this study is an educational game with a puzzle theme that contains
grade 5 natural science material for elementary school (SD/MI).
