Abstract

Sweet corn cultivation issues involve low productivity due to suboptimal cultivation techniques. One effort to enhance sweet corn productivity is by applying Mono Potassium Phosphate (MKP) and Potassium Nitrate White (KNO3 Putih) fertilizers. This study aims to determine sweet corn plants' growth and yield response to Phosphorus fertilizer (MKP) and potassium fertilizer (KNO3 Putih). The research was conducted in the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture and Fisheries, Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto, from September to November 2023. The method used was a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with two factors: MKP (M0: 0 kg/ha, M1: 40 kg/ha, M2: 80 kg/ha) and KNO3 Putih (K0: 0 kg/ha, K1: 80 kg/ha, K2: 120 kg/ha). The data were analyzed using ANOVA followed by the DMRT test at a significance level of 5%. The results showed that the application of MKP fertilizer did not significantly affect all growth and yield variables of sweet corn plants. The dosage of KNO3 Putih greatly influenced variables such as cob diameter, cob length, cob weight with husk, and cob weight without husk. The combination of MKP and KNO3 Putih significantly affected variables such as cob diameter, size, weight with husk, and weight without husk
