Abstract

The performance of a teacher can significantly impact an educational institution, as it affects the output or work results of the teacher. This research aims to determine the effect of Islamic work ethics and workplace spirituality on the performance of teachers in the Al-Irsyad Foundation in Cirebon City. The specific objective of this study is to investigate the effect of Islamic work ethics and workplace spirituality on the teachers' performance. This study employs a quantitative method, with 100 teachers from the Al-Irsyad Foundation in Cirebon City as respondents. The data collection method utilizes a performance scale with a validity range of -0.064 to 0.829, consisting of 34 valid items and a reliability coefficient of 0.921. The Islamic work ethics scale has a validity range of 0.050 to 0.756, comprising 34 valid items with a reliability coefficient of 0.909. The workplace spirituality scale has a validity range of 0.306 to 0.828, including 30 valid items with a reliability coefficient of 0.940. The results of this research indicate that there is an effect of Islamic work ethics and workplace spirituality on the performance of teachers in the Al-Irsyad Foundation in Cirebon City. The analysis conducted reveals a coefficient of determination (Rsquare) of 0.306, signifying that in this study, Islamic work ethics and workplace spirituality collectively contribute effectively by 30.6%, while 69.4% is attributed to other factors.
