This study aims to describe the use of conjunctions and their semantic relations in the discourse of the Disway section of Radar Banyumas, April 2023 edition. The research design was qualitative descriptive. The data were the conjunctions found in the Disway section of Radar Banyumas, April 2023 edition. The data source was the discourse from the Disway section of Radar Banyumas, April 2023 edition, comprising 23 discourses. The research was conducted in three stages: data preparation, data analysis, and presentation of the data analysis results. In the data preparation stage, the Listening method with the basic technique of eavesdropping was employed, followed by the noting technique. The data analysis stage used the distributional method with the advanced technique of the segmenting immediate constituents technique. The presentation of the data analysis used an informal presentation method. The research results show the use of conjunctions as follows: 152 of coordinating conjunctions, consisting of 135 of addition and 17 of selection. Four correlative conjunctions are found, comprising 2 of addition, 1 of selection, and 1 of opposition. Subordinating conjunctions are found 639 times, including beginning of time(5), simultaneous time (30), sequential time (60), the end time of an event or situation (34), conditions (16), purpose (12), comparison (53), cause (20), means (41), manner (44), complementation (5), and attribution (319). Inter-sentence conjunctions are found 5 times, including 1 conclusion, 1 contradiction, 1 rder, and 2 emphasis. Subordinating conjunctions are the most frequently found conjunctions in this study, totaling 639 occurrences.
