Abstract
Road intersections are where traffic conflicts occur. The volume of traffic that can be accommodated by the road network is determined by the capacity of the intersection on the road network. The intersection analyzed in this study is the three unsignalized intersection of the saliwangi market in Cilacap Regency. At this intersection, traffic congestion and accidents often occur.
This study aims to determine the performance of three unsignalized intersections using MKJI 1997. Based on calculation data on existing conditions obtained DS = 1.01> 0.75 (saturated) So that scenario I handling is carried out, namely technical changes to the intersection from the initial condition of the unsignalized intersection to a 3-phase signalized intersection. With a cycle time of 116 seconds, green time arm C = 39 seconds, arm D = 38 seconds, arm B = 27 seconds. And widening the road arm C = 9 meters to 13 meters, arm D = 11 meters to 12 meters, arm B = 11 to 14 meters. The analysis results obtained after scenario I. DS = 0.71 <0.75 (not saturated). That is where an intersection does not experience crowds.
