Abstract
The research entitle code switching and code mixing of teachers and students
utterance
in Arabic learning process for XI grade language department at SMA Islam
Ta'allumul Huda Bumiayu, aims to describe code switching and code mixing on
conversation of teacher and students in Arabic learning process.
This research was descriptive qualitative
research. Data of this research was
utterance of teacher and students in Arabic learning that consist code switching and
code mixing. A data resource of this research was teachers and students interact in
Arabic learning process for XI grade language depa
rtment at SMA Islam Ta'allumul
Huda Bumiayu. Data collecting method was used involved method with tapping and
advanced techniques, that was uninvolved conversation observation technique. The
utterance that had tapped intercepted use recording, then noted u
se note taking
technique. Note taking technique was used in this research when tapping and
advanced techniques had done to transcript data had been obtained. Data analysis step
was used apportion method switch technique. The display step of the result of d
ata
analysis was used pragmatic presentation method.
Based on the result of the analysis were found kinds and factors of code
switching and code mixing on teachers and students utterance in Arabic learning
process for XI grade language department at SMA Is
lam Ta'allumul Huda Bumiayu.
The results of this research were: 1) Codes switching that found were intern and
extern code switching. 2) Cause factors that found on teachers and students utterance
in Arabic learning process for XI grade language department
at SMA Islam Ta'allumul
Huda Bumiayu were speaker, listener or opponent discussed, the effect of third
person, changes a situation from formal to informal and changes of topic. (3) Code
mixing that found were code mixing the insertion a word, the insertion
a phrases, the
insertion a repeating a word and the insertion a clause. (4) Cause factors that found on
teachers and students utterance in Arabic learning process for XI grade language
department at SMA Islam Ta'allumul Huda Bumiayu there was identificati
