This research was carried out to find out and observe how to see the contestation
of the 2019 Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections in the Purwokerto Timur
district. Based on the formulation of the problem and the objectives of this
research, it was carried out using the method of taking historical sources, namely
the method of interviewing and retrieving several archives and documents during
the 2019 Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections. The results of this study are
knowing and understanding the conditions of implementation during the
contestation for the 2019 Presidential and Vice Presidential Election Candidates.
Then also knowing the implementation schedule as well as the mechanism at the
time of the election which will see public participation. The 2019 Presidential and
Vice Presidential election has often been the subject of research because it saw the
impact on the implementation of the election and activities such as campaigns
from each political party and socialization organized by the Banyumas Regency
KPU which was then instructed to the PPK and PPS ranks in Purwokerto Timur
Sub-district. The last one is to look at the impact during the implementation of
elections at each TPS to elect each candidate for President and Vice President
according to his choice by carrying out principles based on Direct, General, Free,
Confidential (Luber), and Honest, Fair (Jurdil).
