The objective of this study was to determine the feasibility oftampah woven bamboo handicraft business in Mujur Village, Kroya Sub-District of Cilacap Regency. It included business profile, production costs, revenue, and business feasibility. The research analysis was conducted by the method of cost analysis, revenue analysis, R/C ratio, BEP units, and BEP Rupiah.
This was a descriptive quantitative case study. The subject of this research was Tampah woven bamboo craftswomen in the village and the research object was their economic feasibility. The population of this research was 132 craftswomen. The data sampling was implemented with purposive sampling technique and it obtained 21 research samples. The types of data were primary and secondary data. The data collection method was applied with direct observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The data analysis techniques were cost analysis, income analysis, R/C ratio analysis, BEP price, and BEP Rupiah. The results of this study indicated that (1) the profile of craftswomen, the average age of respondents was in the productive age of 30-40 years, the education of the respondents was only elementary school, the gender of the respondents was female, the average number of their dependents in their family were 1- 4 people, and the average business age was 1-20 years at most. (2) The average cost incurred by the craftswomen was IDR 507,698.85. (3) The average income earned was IDR 935,158.29. (4) The business feasibility R/C ratio was 2.9, the BEP unit was 59.84, the BEP Rupiah was IDR 385,899.8.
