The research subjects were group B2 (second year students) in TK Muslimat NU
Wanarejan Utara, Taman district of Pemalang Regency with 15 students in one
class. This research was conducted using two cycles, cycle I met three times a week
and cycle II met three times a week, with each stage namely: planning,
implementing, observing, and reflecting. Observation and documentation were
used to collect data. The method used is descriptive analysis with a qualitative
approach. The researcher here acts as a teacher as well as a researcher/observer.
Based on the results of the discussion previously described, it can be concluded that
using wayang letter media to increase the literacy of group B2 students in TK
Muslimat NU Wanarejan Utara, Taman district of Pemalang Regency, can be seen
in the increase in frequency and percentage that occurred in the initial conditions
of 15 students who developed very well. good 2 students (13.3%), cycle I which
developed very well 5 students (33.3%), cycle II which developed very well 12
students (80%). Follow-up for a students who is just starting to develop, the
researcher provided private guidance, and the researcher would advise parents of
students to pay more attention to their children's development.
