Abstract
The prevalence of gout (hyperuricemia) is increasing from year to year, both in developed and developing countries. Based on data from The National Institutes of Health (NIH) in 2002, the number of gout sufferers in the United States reached 2.1 million. Most sufferers are men aged 40-50 years (90%) and women (10%) during menopause. Allopurinol is the drug of choice for people with excess uric acid, tophus formation, nephrolithiasis, or contraindications for other urikosurik therapy. The Ministry of Health through B2P2TOOT has also succeeded in producing certified antihyperurisemia which is intended as a complementary therapy. At present the problem of effectiveness in achieving the target normal levels of asthma is still a problem for conventional antihyperuricemia therapy and scientific herbal medicine. In addition, the amount of costs incurred for each therapy is also a consideration for patients in determining the type of therapy to be chosen. Based on these problems, eating will be examined the cost effectiveness analysis between scientific antihyperuricemia herbal medicine with a combination of conventional antihyperuricemia. The research design used was observational analytic and data analysis using the Incremental Cost Effectiveness Ratio (ICER) method. Retrieval of cost data uses the perspective of the provider as a health care provider and also the perspective of the patient. Respondents were 63 patients, consisting of 31 patients with conventional antihyperuricemia combination therapy at Kalibakung Health Center, and 32 patients with antihyperuricemia scientific herbal medicine treatment at Kalibakung Herbal Medicine. The results of the percentage of the effectiveness of the success of conventional antihyperuricemia combination therapy reached 38.70%, while the percentage of the effectiveness of the success of antihypertensive scientific herbal medicine reached 53.12%. The total average cost per patient for conventional antihyperuricemia combination therapy is Rp 178,179, and for antihypertensive scientific herbal medicine is Rp 192,482. The data was then analyzed by ICER and an ICER value of Rp3,841 / patient was obtained. Interpretation of ICER values concludes that antihyperuricemia scientific herbal therapy is more cost effective than conventional antihyperuricemia combination therapy because of ICER value.
