Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of transactional leadership style, competence, reward and punishment on employee performance. The sample used in this study were 104 employees in the customer service (CS) section of PT Kampung Marketerindo berdaya (Komerce) using simple random sampling. The analysis used is the t test and Adjusted R2. Based on the results of the t test obtained: (a) transactional leadership style has no effect on employee performance. (b) competence has a positive and significant effect on employees. (c) reward has a positive and significant effect on employees. (d) punishment has a positive and significant effect on employees. Based on the Adjusted R2 coefficient of determination test, it shows that the influence of transactional leadership style, competence, reward and punishment on employee performance is 48.9%, while the remaining 51.1% is influenced by other variables outside the research model.
