This study aimed to find out the pattern of Gula Semut (palm sugar) business partnership in Bojong village, Mrebet Sub-district of Purbalingga regency, to find out the benefits obtained by each party in this business partnership, to help provide solutions to each party of this business partnership. This study used descriptive method with census technique.
The results of the study revealed that the partnership concept of this business partnership was a synergistic and mutually beneficial. It belonged to a general trading partnership pattern. The benefits gained by each party in this business partnership were sharing about improving the quality of the sugar (among the sugar palm craftsmen), obtaining capital loans (among craftsmen with tradesman), guaranteed prices and facilities assistance (between craftsmen and KUB SARI BUMI), as an additional supplier of the sugar (among tradesman), as a supplier of the sugar (between tradesman and craftsmen), guaranteed markets and guaranteed prices (between tradesman and KUB SARI BUMI), as suppliers of the sugar (between KUB SARI BUMI and craftsmen and tradesman). The problems faced by each party in this business partnership were it was difficult to improve the quality of the sugar and the solution was by continuously improving the quality of the sugar based on the standards given by CV (Commanditaire Vennootschap) and PT (Perseroan Terbatas) (among craftsmen), craftsmen must deposit the production of the sugar on time and the solution was by asking for the grace period for depositing the sugar (between craftsmen and tradesman), stopped order of the sugar from the CV affected the production process of the craftsmen and the solution was by continuously producing palm sugar (between craftsmen and KUB), the fluctuating price of the sugar and the solution was by finding tradesman offering more stable price (between tradesman), late deposit of the sugar and the solution was by finding the sugar from other craftsmen (between tradesman and craftsmen), late payments from CV and the solution was by waiting for KUB to pay for the sugar and looking for a bigger tradesman (between tradesman and KUB) , the quality of the sugar was not standard with the request of CV and PT and the solution was by conducting training of making good quality sugar (between KUB SARI BUMI and craftsmen), improper the sugar deposit and the solution was by receiving the supply of the sugar from other village tradesman (between KUB SARI BUMI and tradesman).
