Educators are required to be able to provide various innovations in learning to optimize the learning process to be more effective and efficient by using digital media to anticipate their students from being easily saturated. While the form of media used in learning one of them is multimedia, therefore the purpose of this research is to know the application of multimedia-based learning media fiqh subjects at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Purwokerto for the 2021/2022 school year.
This research is a type of field research using a qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects of the study were fiqh teachers and students of class VII and students of class IX. Data collection techniques with observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques with data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions.
The results showed that the application of multimedia-based learning media to fiqh subjects at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Purwokerto has been carried out well. This is evidenced by the existence of teachers who use multimedia technology as a learning medium such as Microsoft power point, video players, and images. Supported by telecommunication technology in the form of cellphones, computer technology (laptops) and Liquid Crystasl Display (LCD) infrastructure and speakers. Learning with multimedia makes students more active in asking questions, responding, more eager to follow the learning process, not getting bored and sleepy faster than learning that only uses the lecture and listening methods.
