This research aimed to identify the types of speech acts from the 5 to 6-year-old children in PAUD (Early Childhood Education) Nurul Huda. This was descriptive qualitative research whose data were speeches. The supporting theories for this research were the theory about directive illocutionary speech acts, the types of directive speech acts, and early childhood and their development. The data included the children's speeches containing directive illocutionary speech acts that were collected using observation, recording, and note-taking techniques, then analyzed using data collection, data reduction or selecting the required data, and presentation to describe the data belonged to directive illocutionary speech acts, and conclusion. Based on the analysis and discussion, there were seventy-eight directive illocutionary speech acts consisting of 16 requests, 30 questions, 16 commands, 4 prohibitions, 8 permission granting, and 4 advice.
