Abstract
The research is entitled directive illocutionary speech acts on the Covid-19 Health Protocol Slogan Discourse issued by Polres (Departmental Police Force) Purbalingga in the @humaspolrespurbalingga Instagram Account Uploading July-December 2021. This research aims to describe the form of the directive illocutionary speech act contained in the slogan. This is a descriptive-qualitative research. The research data is the discourse on the slogan with a total of 99 discourses. The data source is the slogan of the Covid-19 health protocol in the Instagram account @humaspolrespurbalingga uploaded July-December 2021. The stage of providing data using the observation non-participatory method (SBLC) and the techniques used are basic recording and advanced noting-taking. SBLC is a method where the researcher taking out the data by participating indirectly (listening). The data analysis stage uses the matching method (basic technique of pragmatic equivalent and advanced technique of comparison of similarities and differences) and the distributional method (mark reading technique). The data presentation stage uses informal techniques. Based on the results of the analysis of research data regarding to directive illocutionary speech acts in the Covid-19 Health Protocol Slogan Discourse by the police office, it can be concluded several things that from the 99 data, it was found five (5) forms of directive illocutionary speech acts, namely (1) 'ordering' consisted of 47 data, (2) 'asking' consisted of 10 data, (3) 'inviting' consisted of 17 data, (4) 'advising' consisted of 22 data and (5) 'prohibitting' consisted of 3 data. The directive illocutionary speech act of the ordering dominates in the discourse of the Covid-19 Health Protocol slogans because the Purbalingga Departmental Police Force is trying to firmly order the people of Purbalingga to want to implement the Covid-19 health protocol to reduce the transmission of Covid-19 and break the chain of the spread of Covid-19.
