Abstract

Concrete is one of the construction materials for civil works which plays an important role in construction. The specialty of concrete is that it is easy to shape as desired, has a high compressive strength value, has long-term durability with simple maintenance and is relatively inexpensive because it uses basic ingredients from local materials. Concrete is a mixture of coarse aggregate (gravel) and fine aggregate (sand) as a filler, as well as cement and water as a binder. This study was conducted to determine the quality and effect of concrete quality on partial replacement of coarse aggregate using waste concrete (LB) and rice husk ash (ASP) as a partial replacement of cement with mixed variations (LB: 0%, 50%, 60%, 70%, and ASP : 2.5%). The results of the test concluded that the addition of concrete waste and rice husk ash as a partial substitute for a mixture of low-strength concrete fc' 20 MPa can increase the compressive strength at the percentage variation of 50% and 60% by 11% and 21% of the compressive strength of normal concrete without mixture ( 0%). While the percentage of 70% only increased by 8% from the compressive strength of normal concrete without mixture (0%). The optimum compressive strength value in this study occurred in concrete with a variation of the addition of 60% concrete waste.
