This research focuses on how the idea of LGBT is included in the short films Aquarium, Dirty Paws and In a Heartbeat. The idea is not explicitely stated but it is delivered through signs in every plot of the stories. The researcher uses Semiotic and Queer theories to reveal the signs that represent the idea of LGBT especially the idea of being homosexual. By applying the theories, the researcher finally could reveal the meaning of the signs and proofs that the short films really bring the idea of LGBT. The researcher also reveals that the films aim to doctrinate society from different ages, adults, teenagers and children, since the films are made in different times with different types of characters started from adults, teenagers and children. This research proofs that these literary works are used as media to doctrinate people in order to expand the LGBT network.
